HURRICANE ACTION PLAN FOR GARDEN AIRE VILLAGE

 BEFORE THE STORM

Per Resolution 2025-08 – Procedure for Hurricane Preparedness, the Association elected the following crew to perform pre-hurricane tasks below in the event of a hurricane:


Outside Vendors (to be hired by management on behalf of the Association).

  1.  All Services South Florida Elevator Tel# 954-393-9910
  2.  Clear Concept Horticulture (Fred) Tel#561-441-4431 or any other landscaper management deems appropriate.


TASKS BEFORE THE STORM (96-24 hours before the storm is scheduled to arrive)

  1. Remove and Store/Secure all Pool Furniture
  2. Remove and Store/Secure any plants, trash receptacles, miscellaneous items around property.
  3. Turn off Pool Equipment
  4. Check clubhouse generator

TASKS TO BE PERFORMED BY ASSOCIATION VENDORS BEFORE THE STORM

  1. Shutdown Elevators

TASKS AFTER THE STORM


  1. Once it’s safe to do so, management will assess the property for damage to common areas.
  2. Management will contact the above selected Hurricane Crew and Vendors to execute action plan.
  3. Once power is restored to the community, management will contact vendors to turn on the elevators, check cooling tower and remove/cut branches and trees.**
  4. Crew to return the property to pre-hurricane state.

PLEASE NOTE: Individual units are the responsibility of the owner of the unit. It is not management, the Board, nor the hurricane crew’s responsibility to install shutters, remove items from patios, etc.

**If we experience a power outage, the Cooling tower must be shut-off when safe to do so and Advanced Air must be called when power is restored before cooling tower is turned on.
